The jar is handmade from local Italian terracotta. The craftsman gives the shape by hand. He then fire the jar twice, first to cook the terracotta and then to seal the color. The Jar comes with a handmade lid in the same terracotta and style. Each piece is hand painted. The jar can be used to store pasta, cookies, rice, or large cooking spoons.
 
 
The jar should be cleaned by hand with a damp towel (no soap).
